Bugolobi

This area is well known for its mix of both commercial and residential infrastructure. Renowned for the mighty village mall, Bugolobi market as well as the ever lively Bandali rise stretch of posh bars and restaurants, this is one of the best locations to live within Kampala. 

Bugolobi is bordered by Nakawa and Mbuya to the north, Mutungo to the east, Kitintale and Luzira to the southeast, Muyenga to the south and southeast, Namuwongo to the west and Kampala’s Industrial Area to the northwest

There are houses and apartments available for both rent and sale in Bugolobi.

The residential part of this neighbourhood mainly stretches along and off the Luthuli Avenue road with several apartments and houses in all sizes and shapes. 

Traffic

Bugolobi is approximately eight kilometres from the central business district. It has an inflow of traffic flowing from the industrial area which can be a menace particularly during rush hours, however, it is still manageable and freely flowing for the most part of the day.
The internal residential streets are however traffic free and generally quiet with the relaxing sounds of nature.

Lifestyle  

Bugolobi has a relatively lively entertainment scene with the likes of Thrones Bar, Gabiiro lounge, Riders bar village mall, dancing cup restaurant and several others.  There are a number of prominent cafes ideal for business meetings & dinners like Java house, Cafesserie and many others. Supermarkets like shoprite and many others are also in place catering for the shopping experience.
The Royal Suites & Silver Springs hotel are some of the finest accommodations in this location. 

Environment

This area is generally leafy and gently sloping with most houses enjoying flat gardens. The lower part of the hill shares its boundary with the notorious industrial area. Most of the houses in this part of the hill have since turned commercial as a result of demand.
To the East lies the famous Bugolobi flats stretching over the entire line from Luthuli up to the main market. This has been attractive to the young middle class families and expatriates for long. Most of the remaining part of the hill has well organised stand-alone homes and high end apartments surrounded with high wall fences. This is a largely secure & serene neighbourhood ideal for the casual evening walk.

Schools

Ambrosoli International school on the south of Bugolobi, is a renowned campus attracting learners from all backgrounds and popular among the expatriate community. The Makerere University Business School(MUBS) is another landmark in this area with students from all walks of life. 

Hospitals & Clinics

Paragon Hospital, SAS Clinic are both private high end hospitals in this location. There is also a health and wellness clinic run by the famous Dr.Kasenene, along Bandali rise.
