Naguru

Naguru hill is one of the most sought after residential neighbourhoods in the North eastern part of Kampala city. Bordered by Ntinda to the east, Nakawa to the southeast, Kololo to the southwest, Kamwokya to the west, Namuwongo to the south, Bukoto to the northwest and Kigowa to the north.

There are a variety of houses and apartments available for rent and sale in Naguru, most of which can be classified as high-end in nature. 

This suburb has very easy access to all amenities like shopping malls, hospitals, banks, schools etc

Traffic      

Traffic is relatively free flowing, with no major delays especially with the recent road works in place. There is relative presence of public means in this location and the central business district is a few kilometres away.
Naguru is a good gateway to a number of other popular suburbs given its central location.

Lifestyle

Given its sloping nature, alot of landscaping has been implemented over the years on Naguru hill. There is the luxury Skyz hotel at the very top of the hill with panoramic views of the city. Most of this hill has residential complexes and houses, mostly modern in design with beautiful homes and apartments mostly occupied by the expatriate community. 

There are leisure and recreation hubs including the Legends Rugby club Lugogo & Kyadondo, the Cricket Oval and the KCCA FC home grounds.

Shopping can be done at the nearby Forest mall & Lugogo shopping mall with power houses like Shoprite, Cafe Javas and most banks. 

Environment

Naguru hill is fully tarmacked on all streets and there is a good number of apartments in place for varying categories of house hunters. There is an ample amount of greenery with most houses bearing mature gardens and the streets are fairly quiet with minimal traffic making it ideal for the family living and relaxation like jogging.
Towards the top of the hill, the views over there are unrivalled and will even let you catch a shiny glimpse of the mighty Lake Victoria and the sunset/sunrise off your balcony on a random day. The breeze is cool making for the most natural experience of the tropical weather. 

Naguru also remains famous for being the head quarters of the Uganda police, a factor that has bosted the security of this area.
A narrow portion of lower Naguru remains relatively undeveloped with long-term dwellers that have inhabited this area since way back. This includes the police barracks.
Naguru remains one of the most serene & highly sought-after neighbourhoods in Kampala. 

Schools

The Kampala French school is a few minutes drive away on the Lugogo bypass.

Katale Primary School, St. Jude Primary School Naguru Infants and Primary School and Naguru High School are some of the other local schools within the area. 

Hospitals & Clinics

The Surgery on Naguru Drive, is quite popular with expatriates and provides a range of professional GP, diagnostic and emergency services.
The China-Uganda Friendship Hospital is a medium sized hospital with a decent in-patient capacity.
